Pastor Wesley Crawford
I had the great privilege of being born into a Christian home and therefore had the opportunity (though not always appreciated!) to hear the Word of God taught in church several times each week. At the age of thirteen I responded to the gospel message and came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Conversion to Christ always brings change! I began to follow what I believed to be God’s plan for my life. I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and continued to play rugby at Senior Level. I married Helen in August 1964 and we together praise God for how He has guided and guarded us since that day.
During the late ‘70’s’, Helen and I felt God’s call to serve Him in a full-
Helen Crawford.
I was born into a loving, though not a Christian home. I praise God that when I was 10 years old our family came into contact with the gospel and subsequently each of us in turn trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour.
I met my husband in Haypark Avenue Baptist Church Young People’s Bible Class and from our early ‘teens’ we were conscious that God had brought us together. We celebrated our 47th Wedding Anniversary in August past. The Lord blessed us with four children, three girls and a boy. Our second daughter Deborah, went to be with the Lord aged 20, while we were Pastoring in the Armagh Church. We praise God for our family, all of whom have ‘flown the nest’ with families of their own!
My main interest is in music and I’ve been privileged to be part of the music ministry and to lead the Ladies’ Fellowship in all of the churches we have served.
